About the Classes
Currently the classes offered are engaging, lively and teach children the basics of communication in Czech, be it reading, writing, listening or speaking. Additionally, children learn about Czech culture, tradition and heritage; and have fun putting on performances.
The Institute has been fortunate in obtaining the generous patronage of the Czech Foreign Ministry which supplies our school with the latest in children’s story books and educational material.
Classes are offered to children 6 to 12 years of age and run Saturdays (except for long weekends). The fall semester starts in mid-September and runs for 10-12 Saturdays. The spring semester starts in mid-January and runs for 16 Saturdays.
In-person classes start at 10 am and end at 12 pm. A nominal fee of $5 per child per class is charged with discounts for other children from the same family.
