Structure of MMI Inc.

The Masaryk Memorial Institute is run by an elected Board of Directors headed by its President. The number of board members varies from 8 to 12 including the President. The duties performed by the Board of Directors are voluntary. All board members are elected for a 3-year period by the Institute’s members at Annual General Meetings, where the most important decisions for the upcoming period are also approved.

The Board of Directors meets once a month to discuss current issues concerning the Institute. In addition there are several committees headed by members of the Board to deal with different Institute activities. Specifically, these committees include the press committee, educational and cultural committee, social committee, and various temporary committees formed to address current issues of the Institute. All members of MMI are invited to volunteer and get involved with any committee.
